Summary
This study tested if a small, wearable heart monitor could detect dangerous spikes in potassium levels in people on dialysis. Thirty-two patients wore a chest sensor during their dialysis sessions while their blood potassium was checked. Researchers compared the heart signal patterns from the sensor with the blood test results to see if the sensor could predict high potassium without a needle stick.
