Summary

This phase 3 study tests whether the experimental drug WD-890 can safely improve skin clearance in adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either WD-890 or a placebo tablet daily for up to 52 weeks. The main goals are to see if more people achieve clear or almost clear skin and at least a 75% reduction in psoriasis severity by week 16.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
WD-890
What this could lead to
If successful, WD-890 could offer a new oral treatment option for people with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, potentially improving skin clearance and quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a phase 3 trial, but results may not confirm efficacy or safety. The drug could cause side effects or fail to outperform placebo. Long-term risks are unknown.
