First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special nursing care program based on Watson's Theory of Human Caring could help reduce fear of childbirth and improve the overall birth experience. Thirty women with uncomplicated vaginal births took part, with some receiving the caring-based care and others receiving routine care. Researchers measured fear levels during labor and asked about the birth experience one to two months later.
