Water flosser study aims to zap gum disease

NCT ID NCT07204951

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests if a special water flosser is safe and works better than regular flossing for reducing plaque and gum inflammation (gingivitis). About 64 healthy adults with mild gum issues will use either the water flosser or a standard floss. Researchers will check plaque levels and gum health over time to see if the water flosser improves oral hygiene.
