Extra doctor rounds may boost colonoscopy success in hospitals

NCT ID NCT07263867

First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study tests whether increasing resident doctor ward rounds from 2 to 4 times a day helps hospitalized patients better prepare for a colonoscopy. Around 300 patients will take part across three hospital wards. The goal is to see if more check-ins improve bowel cleanliness, reduce procedure delays, and lower costs.
