Stanford puts seniors in VR headsets to fight depression

NCT ID NCT07188623

Summary

This study is testing whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset can make a standard depression therapy more helpful for adults aged 65 and older. Participants will work with a therapist to plan enjoyable activities and try some of them in VR, rating their mood before and after. The main goal is to see if this VR-enhanced approach is practical and acceptable, while also checking if it might help reduce depression symptoms.
