Virtual reality therapy helps athletes overcome fear after knee surgery

NCT ID NCT06150118

Summary

This study tested whether combining virtual reality (VR) with counseling could help athletes recover mentally after ACL knee surgery. Researchers worked with 60 professional athletes to see if this approach could reduce fear of re-injury, improve confidence, and help them return to sports. The program was compared to standard rehabilitation to measure its effectiveness.
