NCT ID NCT07482722
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether a virtual reality (VR) program can help adults who have been in the intensive care unit (ICU) feel less stressed and in pain after being moved to a regular hospital ward. The VR sessions aim to provide psychological support and relaxation. Researchers will measure heart rate, pain levels, and whether patients need to return to the ICU unexpectedly. 150 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care or the VR program.
