First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding virtual reality (VR) mindfulness sessions to standard treatment can reduce depression symptoms in people whose depression hasn't improved with multiple medications. 30 adults with treatment-resistant depression will either receive VR mindfulness plus usual care or usual care alone for one month. Researchers will track symptom changes, inflammation markers, and how long any benefits last.
