VR headsets aim to ease depression where drugs fall short
NCT ID NCT07422519
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a virtual reality (VR) mindfulness program to standard medication helps people with treatment-resistant depression. Thirty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either their usual medication alone or medication plus eight VR mindfulness sessions over one month. Researchers will check if the combined approach reduces depression symptoms better and is well-tolerated.
