First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether wearing virtual reality goggles showing nature scenes with relaxing music could reduce anxiety and improve comfort for men undergoing a prostate biopsy. 70 participants were split into two groups: one watched the VR video during the procedure, the other received standard care. Researchers measured anxiety, comfort, and complications like bleeding or pain within 24 hours after the biopsy.
