First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study compares virtual reality (VR) to standard bright light therapy for treating Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). About 60 adults in the UK with moderate to severe SAD will use either a VR headset or a light box every day for two weeks. Researchers will measure changes in mood and depression symptoms to see if VR is a helpful alternative.
