Walk a mile in their shoes: VR aims to fight mental health stigma
NCT ID NCT07375199
Summary
This study is testing whether a short virtual reality (VR) experience can help reduce stigma against people with schizophrenia. Healthcare workers and students will use VR to briefly see and hear what psychotic symptoms might feel like. Researchers will measure if this immersive experience increases empathy and reduces negative attitudes and behaviors toward people with schizophrenia.
