Summary
This study tested whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset is safe and tolerable for people walking with a lower leg amputation. Researchers wanted to see if VR could be used to create more realistic walking challenges, like slopes, to better evaluate and potentially improve rehabilitation. The study involved 25 healthy volunteers and 25 amputees who walked on flat and sloped virtual surfaces while their movement was analyzed.
