Could a VR headset spot a concussion? new study tests eye response

NCT ID NCT07474987

Summary

This study is testing a new, portable tool to help diagnose and monitor traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), like concussions. Researchers are using virtual reality goggles to shine safe, colored lights and record how a person's pupils react, as these reactions may change after a brain injury. They will compare the eye responses of 150 people, including healthy adults, soldiers with combat-related brain injuries, and soldiers with other injuries but no TBI.
