Generic acid drug matches brand in healthy volunteer study
NCT ID NCT07278349
First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study checked whether a new generic version of vonoprazan (20 mg) works the same as the brand-name drug Voquezna in healthy adults. Twenty-eight participants took each tablet once under fasting conditions, and blood tests showed the generic was just as effective. The results help ensure patients can get a lower-cost option for treating stomach acid problems.
