Summary
This study looks at whether giving extra vitamin D (800 IU daily) to extremely premature infants (born before 28 weeks or under 1000 grams) improves their vitamin D levels and may help their lungs, bones, immune system, and brain. About 50 babies will take part, comparing the extra vitamin D to usual care during their first 28 days. The goal is to see if this simple addition can make a difference in their health outcomes.
