Summary
This study looked at whether adding vitamin D to the usual hepatitis C drugs (pegylated interferon and ribavirin) helps clear the virus in people who didn't respond to treatment before. 32 adults with chronic hepatitis C (genotype 1 or 4) and low vitamin D levels took part. The goal was to see if correcting vitamin D deficiency before and during therapy could make the antiviral drugs more effective.
