Vitamin c boost for leukemia treatment?

Summary
This early-stage study is testing if adding high-dose vitamin C (ascorbate) given through an IV to the standard two-drug treatment for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is safe and more effective. It is for adults newly diagnosed with AML who are older or have other health problems that make strong chemotherapy too risky. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see if the three-drug combination leads to more patients achieving remission.
