Vitamin c: a new weapon against emergency pain?

Summary
This study tests whether vitamin C can safely reduce pain from recent muscle, sprain, or fracture injuries in emergency patients. About 204 adults with moderate-to-severe pain will receive either vitamin C or a placebo for three days. If effective, vitamin C could offer a cheap, low-risk option to manage pain and reduce the need for opioids.
