Scientists test Cancer-Fighting virus in advanced breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT05081492

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new treatment for metastatic triple-negative breast cancer, a difficult-to-treat form of the disease. Researchers are injecting a specially engineered virus directly into tumors to see if it can safely break down cancer cells and stimulate the patient's own immune system to fight the cancer. The study involves a small group of patients who have already tried at least two other treatments, and its main goal is to find a safe dose and understand side effects.
