Virtual therapy trial aims to ease the mental burden of type 1 diabetes
NCT ID NCT06405373
Summary
This study is testing two different online group therapy programs designed to reduce the emotional distress that often comes with managing type 1 diabetes. Researchers will enroll 200 adults with type 1 diabetes who report significant distress. The goal is to see which approach—one focused on managing emotions or one focused on problem-solving skills—works better. If a participant's distress doesn't improve after the initial group program, they will be offered personalized, one-on-one follow-up sessions.
