New study tests VR and brain games to help kids with arm injuries move better

Summary
This study looks at two types of therapy—virtual reality exercises and motor-cognitive dual-task training—to see if they can improve arm movement and brain function in children with brachial plexus birth injury (a nerve injury during birth that weakens the arm). Fourteen children aged 7-14 will be randomly assigned to one of the two programs for 12 weeks, followed by a 9-month home program. The goal is to find out which approach helps the brain adapt and improves arm strength, motion, and daily use.
