First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested whether virtual reality (VR) could help children aged 5-17 feel less pain and anxiety during a kidney biopsy, possibly reducing the need for sedation drugs. 32 children participated, and the results showed that most parents and patients would recommend VR to others. The approach is a non-drug way to ease discomfort during a medical procedure.
