Virtual reality may uncover hidden thinking issues in MS patients
NCT ID NCT01805336
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether virtual reality (VR) tasks, like driving or shopping in a virtual store, can better detect attention and planning problems in people with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS) compared to standard paper-and-pencil tests. Sixty adults with MS and healthy volunteers completed both traditional and VR-based assessments. The goal was to see if VR provides a more realistic measure of daily-life challenges.
