VR therapy shows promise for kids with autism

Summary
This study tested whether adding immersive virtual reality (VR) to standard psychological and behavioral therapy helps children with autism. 120 children aged 2 to 12 took part; 62 received VR plus therapy and 58 received therapy alone. After 12 weeks, the VR group showed greater improvement in autism symptoms and behavior compared to the therapy-only group.
