First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether using virtual reality (VR) goggles to educate patients before knee replacement surgery can lower their fear, reduce pain after surgery, and boost satisfaction. About 70 adults will be randomly assigned to either VR education or standard education. The goal is to see if a high-tech approach helps people feel more prepared and comfortable.
