First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) to teach patients about post-surgery care helps them feel more ready to go home after a prostatectomy. 46 adults were split into two groups: one got standard discharge instructions, the other used a VR program. The VR group showed higher readiness scores, suggesting that immersive education can improve patient confidence and understanding before leaving the hospital.
