Virtual reality maps the way for better Crohn's surgery

NCT ID NCT06587646

Summary

This study is testing a new 3D visualization tool designed to help surgeons better understand and treat fistulas in people with perianal Crohn's disease. The tool creates a virtual model from MRI scans, aiming to give surgeons a clearer picture before surgery. Researchers will compare outcomes for 30 patients, with half receiving care using this new tool and half receiving standard care, to see if it improves surgical planning and patient results.
