Video tool tested for faster breathing tube placement in critical care
NCT ID NCT02413723
Summary
This study compared two medical devices used to insert breathing tubes in intensive care unit (ICU) patients. Researchers tested whether a video-assisted device helps doctors successfully place the tube on the first attempt more often than the standard tool. The trial involved 371 critically ill adults who needed emergency breathing assistance.
