New breathing mask may make gallbladder surgery safer and faster
NCT ID NCT06502028
First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a video laryngeal mask (a type of breathing tube) works better than the standard endotracheal tube for people having gallbladder surgery. 102 adults were randomly assigned to one of the two methods. Researchers measured how long it took to insert the tube and checked for any breathing problems during surgery.
