First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at 100 ICU adults with severe acute kidney failure who were receiving continuous kidney replacement therapy. Researchers used a special ultrasound technique (VExUS plus lung ultrasound) to check for fluid congestion in the veins and lungs. The goal was to see how common fluid overload is and whether this ultrasound method can help guide treatment and predict outcomes like survival and recovery.
