VA tests app to help veterans stay in depression care

Summary
This study is developing and testing a digital self-monitoring program to help veterans start and continue depression treatment after being referred for mental health care. Researchers are working with 47 veterans to see if tracking symptoms and receiving supportive messages through an app improves engagement with therapy. The goal is to help veterans who might otherwise drop out of care to get the treatment they need.
