Balance training may cut fall risk in Alzheimer's patients

NCT ID NCT03799991

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether vestibular therapy—exercises for the inner ear balance system—can reduce falls in people with Alzheimer's disease. About 100 older adults with mild to moderate Alzheimer's and balance problems will receive either the therapy or a control activity. Researchers will track falls over one year to see if this approach improves safety and mobility.
