First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study compared two procedures for taking a sample of a lung nodule (a small growth): a CT-guided needle biopsy (through the chest wall) and navigation bronchoscopy (through the windpipe). The goal was to see which method gives a clear diagnosis with fewer side effects. About 288 people with a single lung nodule took part. The results help doctors choose the best approach for each patient.
