Can smarter ventilation help prostate surgery patients breathe easier?

NCT ID NCT07534553

First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a new way of setting the breathing machine during robot-assisted prostate surgery can help patients breathe better after the operation. The surgery requires a special body position and air in the belly that can make breathing harder. The study will compare the new method to standard care in 80 adults to see if it improves oxygen levels and reduces lung problems.
