Healing race: two wound dressings face off in leg ulcer study

NCT ID NCT05892341

Summary

This study compared two different wound dressings to see which one helps leg ulcers heal better over 12 weeks. Researchers enrolled 203 adults with long-standing venous leg ulcers that hadn't healed for at least two months. Participants were randomly assigned to use either the AQUACEL Ag+ Extra or Cutimed Sorbact dressing along with standard compression therapy to see which dressing led to more complete wound healing.
