New drug cocktail targets Hard-to-Treat amyloidosis in early trial

Summary
This early-stage trial is testing a combination of three drugs (venetoclax, ixazomib, and dexamethasone) in 24 people with a rare blood disease called light chain amyloidosis that has returned or not responded to prior treatments. The study only includes patients with a specific genetic change (t(11;14)). The main goals are to find the safest dose and identify side effects, not to cure the disease. This is a phase 1 study, so it is primarily focused on safety and dosing.
