Could a targeted drug boost chemo for Hard-to-Treat blood cancers?
NCT ID NCT03289910
First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding the experimental drug veliparib to standard chemotherapy (topotecan and carboplatin) works better than chemo alone for people with advanced myeloproliferative disorders or certain leukemias. About 25 adults with these blood cancers that have spread or not responded to treatment will take part. The goal is to see if the combination improves response rates, such as complete remission or blood count recovery.
