Summary
This observational study examines whether blood levels of two markers (VEGF-A and VCAM-1) differ between people with alopecia areata and healthy individuals. Researchers will also check for tiny blood vessel changes in the nailfolds and link them to hair loss severity. About 90 adults aged 18-60 will provide a blood sample and undergo scalp and nailfold imaging. The goal is to better understand how blood vessels and inflammation relate to this hair loss condition.
