New study tests safer bleeding control for cesarean scar surgery
NCT ID NCT07446933
First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at 30 women having laparoscopic surgery to fix a cesarean scar niche, a pocket in the uterine wall. It compared injecting a drug called vasopressin into the uterus versus temporarily clamping the uterine arteries to reduce bleeding during the operation. The goal was to see if the injection works as well as clamping, which could simplify the procedure.
