Neck patch tracks nerve signals in stomach disorder patients
NCT ID NCT04207996
First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at how the vagus nerve sends signals in people with gastroparesis who already have a gastric electrical stimulator device. Researchers will place a flexible, non-invasive electrode patch on the neck to measure nerve activity and see how it relates to symptom control. The goal is to better understand how the stimulator works, not to test a new treatment. About 40 adults aged 18 to 80 are taking part.
