New biopsy test aims to spot dangerous uterine cancer before surgery
NCT ID NCT04250766
Summary
This study is testing how well a special biopsy, guided by a vaginal ultrasound, can correctly identify whether a suspicious uterine tumor is a dangerous sarcoma or a benign fibroid. It involves 19 women in France who are already scheduled for surgery to remove a suspicious tumor. The goal is to see if this pre-surgery biopsy can help doctors choose the safest surgical approach and avoid spreading cancer cells.
