First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a medicine called ursodeoxycholic acid can shrink gallbladder polyps. 36 people with polyps that don't need immediate surgery are being followed for 6-12 months. Half get the medicine, half get standard care. The goal is to see if the medicine reduces polyp size by at least 2mm, which could spare patients from unnecessary follow-up or gallbladder removal.
