New filler goes head-to-head with restylane for smile-line correction
NCT ID NCT07150273
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a new injectable filler called UNIVELO Sub-Q against the well-known Restylane Sub-Q for temporarily reducing the appearance of deep smile lines (nasolabial folds). Sixty-five adults with moderate to severe lines received both fillers on opposite sides of their face, and neither they nor the evaluators knew which side got which. The goal was to see if UNIVELO works as well as Restylane over 48 weeks.
