First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tested a new treatment for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a blood cancer that had come back or not responded to standard care. The therapy uses a patient's own immune cells, modified to recognize and attack cancer cells carrying a specific marker (CD123). The study aimed to check safety and find the best dose, but it was stopped early. Only 32 people took part.
