Scientists probe Protein's role in leukemia growth
NCT ID NCT04460963
First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at how a protein called adrenomedullin helps leukemia cells grow and spread in the bone marrow. Researchers will collect blood and bone marrow samples from 72 adults newly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). They will measure protein levels and run lab tests to see if blocking adrenomedullin can stop cancer cells from multiplying. This is a lab-based study, not a treatment trial, so it will not directly help participants but may guide future therapies.
