First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests if infusions of cells from umbilical cord blood can improve cognitive function in people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. Thirty participants will receive either a low dose, high dose, or a placebo (saline) infusion weekly for four weeks, plus a fifth infusion a month later. Researchers will track changes in memory, daily living skills, and blood markers over six months to see if the treatment is safe and shows promise.
