Military study tests less invasive carpal tunnel surgery
NCT ID NCT04504019
Summary
This study compared two surgical methods for treating carpal tunnel syndrome in military personnel. Researchers tested whether a newer, ultrasound-guided procedure with a smaller incision works as well as the traditional open surgery. They measured pain, hand function, recovery time, and how quickly participants could return to duty over two years.
