Could an ultrasound replace the scope for UC patients?
NCT ID NCT07115524
First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple ultrasound can be as good as a colonoscopy for checking how active ulcerative colitis is. Researchers will compare ultrasound scores with colonoscopy results in 200 adults with active UC. If ultrasound works well, it could offer a less invasive way to monitor the disease.
