Summary
This study tests a simple ultrasound method to quickly tell if a breathing tube is in the windpipe or the food pipe during surgery. About 200 adults having planned or emergency surgery will be checked. The goal is to see if ultrasound can work as well as the current best method, capnography, and how fast staff can learn it.
